At A Glance Questions

What book are you reading at the moment?

I’m currently reading a book called The Power of Now. It’s an amazing book for shifting your mindset to live in a more positive reality.

The Atlanta area is so full of incredible hotspots. What’s your favorite go-to hidden gem?

I love this restaurant named Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft. The salmon with curry is so good! I know a lot of people might know it so I can’t say it’s too hidden but it’s amazing and I just found out about it.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

My best advice I’ve been given is to “go for it!” Whatever it is you want in life DO IT. I am such an over thinker sometimes and I used to put my aspirations on the back burner, but now I live by trying everything and doing it to my fullest ability and it’s pushed me in my career and personal life to be a better person.

A+P: Naturally, we seamlessly bonded over bikinis but aside from being an influencer, you’re such a fantastic realtor. How’d you get started?

AW: First off thank you so incredibly much! I’ve always had a passion to help people, I love people, I’m a people person. I’ve always wanted to work in a career that allows me to creative freedom while still accomplishing my goal of touching people lives. I’ve always loved real estate and interior design, so I figured the best way to combine all three passions was to get my license and become an agent. I’m only twenty-three, so of course I had nervousness and doubt. However, I started small with passing out business cards and having conversations and now it’s all paying off and I’m helping people all over Georgia invest in their futures and I love it.

A+P: What do you love most about your career?

AW: My favorite part of my career is seeing how much clients light up when they know their dream property is theirs. The process of purchasing and selling has a lot steps and ups and downs, however when everything comes together and my clients get exactly what they want it’s a feeling like no other.

A+P: There are so many people who want to own property but just don’t know where to begin. What should a prospective home buyer look for in a reputable realtor?

AW:I think the biggest thing to look for in a realtor is integrity, willfulness, and their attention to detail. There’s millions of agents everywhere but there aren’t millions who are going to truly care for you and where your money is going. As a newer agent sometimes it hard to rely on experience because you don’t really have it only a couple months in, but getting a agent to is willing to pour themselves into making things happen right will get you a lot further than someone who does deals without caring about them at all. Lastly it is so important to look for an agent who is prepared and detailed, someone who will read contracts with you instead of just to you. It’s important to look at what agent comes with a presentation and who just comes with words. Buying and selling real estate is one of the biggest purchases a lot of people make their entire lives so you want to have someone who knows the ins and outs through studying and detailed understanding not just pictures at closings.

A+P: With inflation being at an all time high, how has that effected the market?

AW: Inflation has had a huge impact on the market. Prices seemed to skyrocket and having buying power was very hard for people. Now the market is seeming to level out so we are seeing that the cost of homes are going down but interest rates are raising everyday. I think the most important thing for buyers and sellers is to remember that the market is going to fluctuate so my best advice when purchasing a home is to do it when you’re financially ready. So I understand that if you want to purchase a house while the cost is down you’re going to make up for that price and interest rates, same as if you want to purchase a house while interest rates were lower you made up for that cost in the listing price.

A+P: What is the most fulfilling part of your job?

AW: The most fulfilling part of my job is knowing that it’s never going away. I’m always going to be able to help families. I love knowing that no matter how much time goes on there’s going to be someone out there for me to help.

A+P: How do you balance having a demanding career with carving out time for yourself to regroup?

AW: One of my favorite ways to regroup for myself is having “Allanah days”. So I choose one day that I’m going to do things that ground me. Sometimes is hanging with my family and giving myself the entire to day to laugh and joke with them. Other days it’s treating myself to something, small or big. I’m a firm believer in pouring love and appreciation back into ourselves. Sometimes it means just taking an hour to stroll around Sephora, it seems small but I appreciate Sephora time. Our mind and body will reward is for taking care of them so I think that’s super important. I also use a very detailed calendar to ensure I can proactively take on my day without over booking myself to the point of feeling lost or unmotivated.

Meet Allanah Waters

“My biggest piece of advice for women looking to start a career in real estate is to trust themselves and be unafraid. Be unafraid in whatever you do, show up and be present.”

A+P: We watch your Instagram stories for travel inspiration! Where are you most excited to travel this summer?

AW: This is such a fun question! I absolutely love to travel, I recently went to Puerto Rico for the second time and I loved it. Puerto Rico holds a special place in my heart so I’m always happy to go back. I’m currently planning a trip to Italy which I’m super excited for! I’ve always wanted to go so I’m checking something off the bucket list.

A+P: Your style is absolutely unmatched. Did you always think you’d be able to be both a successful influencer and realtor at the same time?

AW: Definitely not always, I laugh a lot at my self because I’m 23 years old now but 13-19 year old me would be at awe with what I’ve accomplished. I think 14 year old me would pass out if she knew the life that was coming for her. Being an Influencer is a dream for me, I used to stay up all night on YouTube and Instagram watching these girls open packages and style cute clothes and create trends and I was so fascinated but I never really thought that could be me. Just like with being a realtor, I had seen these smart and beautiful women be so successful in that and I wanted to see myself in it but I didn’t always. Now being both brings overwhelming joy to me. Knowing that I’ve accomplished things that truly make me happy in my life I feel so heartwarming.

A+P: What advice do you have for other women looking to build a long lasting career in selling real estate?

AW: My biggest piece of advice for women looking to start a career in real estate is to trust themselves and be unafraid. Be unafraid in whatever you do, show up and be present. Another piece of advice to ask for help when you need it, I have a mentor (Azureblue.tv on IG) and she’s been a big part of my success in real estate. Being able to look to someone for advice and motivation has continued to push me.
